Individual Camp
Session I: June 28-July 1, 2012
Individual camp concentrates on player development, with multiple training sessions per day focusing on technical skill and tactical development. Sessions include small training groups, small-sided competitions, individual skill competitions, and personalized coaching by an awarding winning staff. Players will be encouraged to play multiple positions in small game situations in effort to develop a total player. Campers will also play in evening tournaments. This camp is structured to accommodate both elite athletes wishing to play competitively, as well as beginners. By the final day the campers will be more prepared to meet upcoming field hockey goals, with improved individual skills and a greater understanding of tactical play, as well as what it takes to move your game to the next level.

Team Camp
(Individuals welcome and will be assigned a team)
Session II: July 29-August 1, 2012
The camp provides teams the opportunity to develop individual skills and team specific strategies and tactical skills through multiple training sessions per day and tournament play. This camp provides teams the ability to hone their skills playing other high caliber teams with the benefit of working with award winning top-level coaches. We will focus on your individual team needs and provide you with a foundation of improved skills and tactics as you move to your preseason and regular season. Teams should have players register online individually and note team name and roommate preference on the registration form. All teams will train and lodge together. Coaches sending multiple teams should email desired team configurations to wfhockey@gmail.com. (Individuals are welcome to join this camp and will be assigned a team.)

Training Sessions: Camp training sessions are held at the Kentner Stadium on the Wake Forest University campus, as well as adjacent fields. The Kentner Stadium field is a new state-of-the-art artificial turf. The turf is highly regarded as one of the safest and best surface for field hockey play. Campers may also play on field turf and natural grass.
Housing: Campers are housed in the air-conditioned dormitories of Wake Forest University, located next to the stadium. Rooms are typically suited for 2 or more individuals and include a shared bathroom. Arrangements can be made in advance for campers wishing to room together. Please note roommate preference on application form. There is a $75 key deposit payable by check or cash at check-in. If you lose your key you will be charged $75, no exceptions.
Dining: Meals are served in the campus food marketplace. The marketplace features fresh ingredients, a large selection of foods from a salad bar, deli section, pasta and many other food stations. Most all dietary needs and preferences can be accommodated.
Check-In: On the first day of camp please arrive between 11 am - 1 pm to check-in to your campus residence hall. Signs on campus will direct you to the check-in location. The first instructional session begins promptly at 1:15 p.m. Lunch service is not included on day of check-in. Lunch is available at several locations on or near the campus.
Check-Out: Camp will conclude on the final day at noon. Please pick up campers between noon and 1pm at their assigned residence hall.
Ground Transportation from the Greensboro airport: If you will be arriving by air to camp and require grounds transportation, contact Jill miller at wfhockey@gmail.com. The shuttle costs $45 each way and includes tax and tip. Your account will be billed. Please email all flight information. The travel time from the airport to campus is approximately 35 minutes.
Supervision: Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. Campers are supervised by counselors who are current and past Wake Forest field hockey players. Counselors are selected for their maturity, responsibility and enthusiasm. Counselors attend meals, training sessions, and sleep in the dormitory. Counselors assist campers in having a safe, rewarding and fun experience.
All Camps are Partner Camps and sanctioned to make referrals to the US Field Hockey Futures program.
