Are any discounts offered?

Multi-session campers: We offer a discount to campers registering for both sessions. The combined price is $950.

Wake Forest employees receive $75 off. To receive the discount, prior to online registration, email wfhockey@gmail.com for employee verification and a discount code.

A team discount of $10 per player is available for teams enrolling 15 or more players.  Team players will receive the discount as a refund at camp check-in.  

Day campers are accepted for both camps. Day campers receive a 15% discount at registration. Lunch and dinner are included in the camp fee. Typically, day campers will be on campus from 8:15 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Day campers will be given specific instructions at the first practice session.

Sorry, we do not offer scholarships for camp registration.

Do you allow day campers?
Yes, if you do not wish to spend the night on the campus you may attend either session as a day camper. If you choose this option, you will receive a 15% discount on your camp registration fee. Lunch and dinner are included in the camp fee. Players will need to arrive on campus at approximately 8:15 and be picked up around 9:00 p.m. Specific instructions on drop off and pick up times will be given at first training session.

How do I register for camp?
All campers must register using our secure web site.   You can either pay online or send a check.  Please click the “registration” button on the left side of the web site to be directed to registration options.

How do teams register for camp?
Teams should register as individuals using our secure online registration. Please note team name and school in the registration form. Teams will be grouped and lodged together. Team discounts are issued at check-in for teams registering 15 or more players.

Can Teams attend?
Yes, teams are encouraged to attend, as camps include many team specific activities and preparation strategies for the upcoming season. Teams are encouraged to attend the second session. Teams of 15 or more will receive a $10 per/player discount as a cash refund at camp check-in.

Can coaches attend camp?
Yes, coaches may attend camp and observe all of the instructional session and tournaments. Coaches are free to ask camp personnel questions immediately following instructional sessions.  All campers and teams will be coached by camp personnel only. Any coaches not adhering to the observational status policy will be asked to leave. Coaches wishing to lodge and eat in the residence halls must register online. The fee for lodging and meals is $200.  Coaches must pay a nonrefundable $25, and pay the remaining balance by June 1st. Coaches may pay by credit or check.

Can I pay by credit?
Yes, you may use our secure site to pay by credit. You will be required to pay a $200 nonrefundable deposit the day of registration.  The remaining balance is due June 1st and can be paid either online or by mailing in a check.  Following registration, you will receive an email with a link to your registration to pay any outstanding balance.  We will not be accepting final payment during check-in this year.

Can I pay with a check?
Yes, campers may pay by check.  Please register online, and select “bill me”.  You will be required to pay a $200 nonrefundable deposit immediately following registration, and pay the outstanding balance by June 1st.  You will be sent an online bill immediately after registration and another email prior to the final payment deadline.  You will not be confirmed in camp until you initial deposit is received.  We will not be accepting final payment during camp check-in.  Please mail your check to the following address:

What is the camp refund policy?
There is a $200 non-refundable deposit. All refunds are handled through the camp Administrative Director and will be issued following your registered camp session. Please email wfhockey@gmail.com for refund information.

What forms are required in order for my child to participate?
Medical form—the form is available under “camp forms”.  Please bring this signed and completed form to check-in.  Please do not mail the form.

What items should my child bring to camp?

  • Sneakers and turf shoes (optional) (cleats are not allowed on the turf)
  • Mouth guard    
  • Hockey stick    
  • Shin guards    
  • Rain Gear    
  • Bed linens    
  • Sunscreen
  • Water Bottle
  • Personal Items like shorts, t-shirts, toiletries, munchies, etc.

Gatorade and water is provided at all practice sessions.

Where and when is check in?
Check-In: On the first day of camp please arrive between 11 am - 1 pm. The first instructional session begins promptly at 1:30 p.m. You will check-in to your campus residence hall. Signs on campus will direct you to your check-in location.
Check-Out: Camp will conclude on the final day at noon. Please pick up campers between noon and 1pm at assigned residence hall.

Do you accommodate early arrival campers?
Yes, if early arrival housing is required to accommodate flights or long drives, campus housing is available for $40 per person/night. Meals are not included, but available for purchase on campus. Early arrivals may check-in to dorms at 5:00 p.m. Chaperones will be provided beginning at 5:00 p.m. Sorry, but we can not accept campers prior to 5:00 p.m.

Driving Directions to Campus by Automobile
From I-40 Business (eastbound and westbound):
Take Silas Creek Parkway North for approximately 4 miles. Bear right at the Wake Forest University exit.
From I-40 Bypass (eastbound):
Take Exit 188 (Business I-40) to Silas Creek Parkway North exit.
From I-40 Bypass (westbound):
Take Exit 188 (Business I-40) to Silas Creek Parkway North exit.
From U.S. 52 (northbound):
Take I-40 Business West to Silas Creek Parkway North
From U.S. 52 (southbound):
Take University Parkway exit and turn right at off ramp. Drive south to the campus.
Once you enter the Wake Forest campus, follow these directions to Ketner Stadium:
Pass by gate house and veer right at Davis field. Turn right on Faculty Drive. Turn left Wingate Road. Ketner Stadium is on the right side.

What meals are provided?
Lunch is not provided on the first day and last day of camp. Meals on all other camp days include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some campers and teams choose to order pizza from outside vendors at their own expense. Snacks are available at campus convenience stores. Gatorade and water are provided at all practice sessions.

Is there a medical staff at camp?
Yes, the medical staff is available during all practice sessions.

Can I request a specific roommate?
Campers may request specific roommates. Please note preference on registration form.

What is the closest and most convenient airport to Wake Forest?
The most convenient airport to Wake Forest is the Piedmont Triad International Airport located in Greensboro (GSO). Often less expensive flights can be arranged to Charlotte or Raleigh-Durham; however, transfers from these airports are nearly 2 hours and very expensive, making these options undesirable.

Do you provide transportation from the airport?
Yes, we provide ground transportation from the Greensboro airport for $45 per person each way. To reserve a spot on the shuttle, please email your request and flight information to Jill Miller at wfhockey@gmail.com. Your account will be billed for this service. The travel time from the airport to campus is approximately 40 minutes.

Do I need to bring my pillow and linens on the airplane?

Linens, pillow, and towels are available to rent for $30. Campers will pick up their linen pack at check-in and are required to return the bag of linens to check-out desk.

What happens if my daughter should become ill or injured during camp?
We have a full time trainer on site to address all medical issues. Parents and or guardian will be notified immediately.

Is there a camp store?
There is a camp store that will offer the latest in field hockey gear and Wake Forest athletic memorabilia and snacks. Pizza will be available for purchase each night.

Do you offer camp care packages?
Yes, we offer camp care packages for $30. The care packages include sports, novelty, and snack items. The care pack is a welcome treat delivered to the camper's room the second night of camp.

Is there specialized goalie training?
Yes, we offer specialized goalie training in a small group setting. National championship coaches and players organize goalie skill sessions with technical training and small game situations.

Do you make referrals to the US Field Hockey Futures program? 
Yes, we are a partner camp and sanctioned to make referrals to the US Field Hockey Futures program.  If you are interested in a referral, please introduce yourself to Coach Christina Restivo the first day of camp informing her you are interested in being referred.  You will find her photo under “Camp Staff”.
